Lorie Ledford

CREDENTIALS: MSN, RN, CCRN, CPEN, TCRN

Lorie has been a nurse for nearly 30 years, focusing on emergency, critical and trauma care. She is an expert in caring for patients with a wide breadth of conditions across the lifespan. Her research includes trauma resuscitation, rhythm interpretation, shock, hemodynamics and neurologic conditions, including stroke, advanced ventilator management and culturally competent care.  

Lorie has taught at the pre-licensure level, conducted new graduate programs and led courses for expert clinicians. She earned a BSN from California State University Hayward in 1989 and completed her MSN, with an educational specialty, at Walden University in 2009. She is certified in critical care, emergency nursing, pediatric emergency nursing and trauma nursing. 

She is a member of multiple nursing organizations, including the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) and the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA). Lorie also serves on the board of directors for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN).
