Course Description

This course is designed for the nurse acting as a preceptor in a clinical environment. Principles of adult learning, clinical judgement and reasoning will be presented in depth along with current, evidence-based strategies.

Program Learning Outcomes

This program prepares the learner to:

  • Self-report at an 80% rate an increase in knowledge and confidence to be successful as a nurse preceptor.

Agenda

Sign-in begins at 7:30 am. The day includes a one-hour lunch (on your own), as well as a morning and afternoon break of 15 minutes each. The order of lectures presented and break times may vary according to speaker preference.
